About

When tragedy strikes, it is important to know that you are not alone. There are others who have experienced what you are now going through. It is my intention to devote this website to provide support in what ways I can; web site links; and other material which may be helpful in a time of need. I am a non-medical caregiver. There is no contact unless initiated by the reader.

   ? Where do we turn?
   ? Is there any information?
   ? What do we do?

I want to share what I have learned, and give my support from what I experienced in my 13-month stay in the nursing home with my mother's debilitating illness from a stroke. Creating this site has helped me with my grief of her loss.

P.S. This website is a spin-off from my book Experiencing God in the Room at the End of the Hall: A Daughter's Journal (2003). The book is about my mothers' physical, emotional, and spiritual journey with a stroke and my experience as a caregiver. It also includes extensive tools and guidelines to assist those caring for this illness.
The site is the result of a calling I received from God that a free web site was needed to help as many people as possible to find resources on strokes.
